Two new members for the scientific advisory board

We are very happy to tell you that we were able to win two more top-class members for our scientific advisory board. With Prof. Dr. Christian Baumgartner for the field of sustainable tourism and Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Bünker for the field of Protestant religion, the scientific advisory board of the Routes of Reformation is very well and broadly positioned both in terms of content and geography.

Here are some information of Christian Baumgartner and Michael Bünker:

Prof. Dr. Christian Baumgartner is a landscape ecologist and founder of response & ability (www.responseandability.com). In 1995 he founded respect - Institute for Integrative Tourism and Development (www.respect.at) and since then he is working for sustainability in tourism and regional development. He holds a professorship for sustainable tourism at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, Switzerland. Besides lecturing in several countries, Christian Baumgartner is a member of numerous advisory boards of NGOs, business associations, EU and UN organisations.

Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Bünker, born 1954, Dr. theol. (University of Vienna), Honorary Professor, Dr. h.c. (Paris Lodron University Salzburg), 2006 to 2018 General Secretary of the "Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE)", 2008 to 2019 Bishop of the Evangelical Church A.B. in Austria. Publications on Protestant theology, ecumenism and church history. Michael Bünker comes from a family of pastors in Carinthia. Where he grew up, there was a particularly lively underground Protestantism from 1600 to 1781. Protestant religious life was preserved over generations, mainly through smuggled-in books. Today, Michael Bünker's region of origin lies along the "Way of the Book", which he has championed from the beginning.
