Waldensian Museum
Torre Pellice / Italy
- Museum
The Waldensian Museum of Torre Pellice is the leader of the Waldensian Valley’s ecohistorical museum system, which includes a dozen museums, as well as temples and historic Waldensian sites in the Pellice, Chisone and Germanasca valleys.
Over the centuries, the Museum has been modified several times; it is currently articulated in a historical section (the reconstruction of the Waldensian story from the Middle Ages to our days) and an ethnographic section (daily life in the valleys between the 8th and 20th centuries). The museum sometimes hosts temporary exhibitions also. This building has been built in the 1889 in order to remember the glorious repatriation of 1689.
