The Castle of Allstedt, as an authentic site of the work of the reformer Thomas Müntzer, is a meaningful place in Germany with its history of unique construction and usage. It also houses the largest castle kitchen in Europe. Thomas Müntzer peformed his famous speech against the catholic authority in 1524 in the banquet and dining hall of the castle Allstedt. The modern exhibtion “1523.Thomas Müntzer. Ein Knecht Gottes” is shown in an authetic area and was already awarded with a prize by the Ministry of Science of Saxony-Anhalt.
