On April 29, 2012, the church where Martin Luther was baptized, reopened as St. Peter and Paul´s Church "Centre Baptism".

More than 500 years ago, the reformer Martin Luther was baptized in the St. Peter's Church the day after his birth on November 10, 1483. The church in Eisleben counts 15,000 visitors a year. In particular, the new baptism fountain, which is embedded in the ground, is much supported. The "Centre Baptism" wants to remember Luther, but also to stimulate conversation and reflection on baptism today. But besides this historic significance, the church has much more to offer – so it is definitely worth a visit, even if it is just for a moment of silence and reflection in the bright interior space.
